Leading SAFe 6.0

For large organizations, one Scrum team is rarely enough to move the needle. Leading SAFe gives you the framework to align strategy and execution. As a SAFe Agilist you understand how to set up and steer an Agile Release Train, and how to point dozens of teams at one goal. At Epic People we treat SAFe as more than a process framework: it asks for a shift in mindset. We do not just train you for the certification. We show you how to route around the bureaucracy of a large organization with Lean thinking. The focus is business agility, the ability to move on market opportunities fast by combining people and resources well. The training is based on SAFe 6.0 and leads to the globally recognized SAFe Agilist (SA) certification from Scaled Agile. The exam voucher is included in the price, and you take the exam online after the training.

About this training

Classroom-based, in groups of four to twenty participants. The training is 40% theory and 60% doing: a PI Planning simulation, group assignments set in your own organizational context, discussion with participants from other organizations, and direct feedback from the trainer. You will receive the official SAFe courseware, access to SAFe Studio from Scaled Agile, practice exams, and the voucher for the SAFe Agilist exam, which is included in the price. You finish with the Epic People certificate of participation.

This training is built for: Executives and managers accountable for large programs. Project and program managers moving from waterfall to Agile at scale. How is the training structured?

Day 1 — The foundation. Introduction to SAFe, the Lean-Agile mindset, and understanding team and technical agility. You experience how PI Planning actually works.

Day 2 — Execution. Program Increment Planning, delivering value continuously, and leading the Lean-Agile transformation inside your own organization. We close with exam preparation.
