Training Situational Leadership

Stop micromanaging. Learn to match your leadership style to what your team actually needs, task by task. More autonomy, faster growth and better results.

Every organization runs on professionals at very different levels. The most common leadership mistake is treating a senior like a junior (micromanagement), or throwing a junior in at the deep end (neglect). Situational Leadership® from Blanchard is the most widely used leadership model in the world because it is simple, practical and works right away. At Epic People we translate the model to the reality of self-organizing teams and Agile ways of working. You learn to read someone's development level for a specific task, and to switch between directing, coaching, supporting and delegating. The result: less frustration, higher engagement and talent that gets up to speed faster. One day, one model, and a different conversation with your team on Monday.

About this training

Classroom-based, in groups of four to twenty participants. The training is 30% theory and 70% practice: a self-assessment of your default style, short video cases, conversation simulations built on situations from your own team, and direct feedback from the trainer and your peers. You will receive the workbook, a style card to keep on your desk and access to the digital learning environment. You finish with the Epic People certificate of participation.

Who is Training Situational Leadership for?

This training is built for: New managers who want a solid foundation under their leadership style. Experienced leaders who notice their usual style does not land with everyone. Scrum Masters and Product Owners who want to raise the maturity level of their team. Project leads and team leads who steer without formal authority.

What will this training give you?

No theoretical ballast. Everything translates straight to Monday morning.

Focused on freedom. The model exists to move people toward freedom and ownership faster, one of our core values.

Blended approach. Video reflection and online tools so the skills stick.

Usable after one day. You go home with a filled-in style plan per team member and the Epic People certificate of participation.

How is the training structured?

1

Morning — The mirror. You map your own default style and learn to recognize the four development levels (D1 through D4) in others: per task, not per person.

2

Afternoon — The match. You practice matching your style to the other person's level. How do you avoid over-leading and under-leading? You close with a concrete action plan for your own team.
